Just one source? You really need to use more than one source when placing yourself within the conversation about gender roles in the story. I'm sure that others have addressed this issue, if not in The Metamorphosis, then in Kafka's other works. You can always take what someone says about gender roles in his other stories/novels and apply it to the story that you're analyzing to see if their argument holds true for it as well.
